THINGS TO NOTE ABOUT ONLINE AMAZING RACE (WORLD WIDE WEB VERSION):

- The race will take place in real countries, however it will be done virtually. For example, if you are asked to make your way to the Tokyo-Narita International Airport, you must make your way to the official website of that airport and follow the route information to get your next clue.
- If there is no official website, you may choose to visit other sites at your own risk, however you can always consult wikipedia, which may or may not be helpful.
- You are advised to use Google as your search engine to help you along the way.

FEATURES

ROUTE INFO: A clue which will have information for you to obtain your next clue.

DETOUR: A choice between 2 tasks, each with its own pros and cons, which you must complete one of them to obtain the next clue.

ROADBLOCK: A mentally-demanding task that you must complete in order to receive the next clue.

FAST-FORWARD: A fast-forward allows a racer to skip all tasks in that leg and go directly to the pit-stop. The first racer to find and completes it wins the fast-forward. Only one fast-forward can be claimed in each leg. They will appear randomly, but there are only 3 fast-forwards in the entire race, except for the final leg. If one racer has already won the fast-forward, and the second racer tries to claim it, that racer will be rejected and have to go on the normal route.

PIT STOP: The finishing point of a leg. (To check in here, you need to tell the host the pit-stop SW (Secret Word) via MSN Individual instant message)

U-TURN: There are only 2 u-turns in the entire race. Just like the Fast-Forward, they will appear very randomly. When you arrive at the u-turn checkpoint (it will always appear after a detour randomly), you can choose to u-turn a racer. You don't have to use the u-turn if you don't want to. In order for the u-turn to be effective, you will have to u-turn a racer that is behind you. You will not know whether the racer is in front of you or behind you. Upon arrival at the u-turn checkpoint, you will have to give the U-Turn SW to the host via MSN whether or not you wish to use the U-Turn. After giving the U-Turn SW, you will receive the next clue.
However, if you have been U-Turned, you will have to go complete the other detour option that you did not complete before receiving your next clue from the host via MSN. Each racer gets only one U-Turn power in the entire race (just like the fast-forward), and only one U-Turn can be used at each time.

NON-ELIMINATION LEG: If you are last in a non-elimination leg, you will be "marked for elimination". That means in the next leg, if you do not arrive first at the pit-stop, you will receive a 2 minutes penalty before you can be checkd in, and that can mean that you may be eliminated.

SPEED BUMP: There are several speed bumps in the entire race. Just like the Fast-Forward, they will appear very randomly. When you arrive at the speed bump checkpoint, you will have to give the Speed Bump SW to the host. If you are the first racer to give the SW, you will receive a 2 minutes wait before receiving your next clue. Subsequent racers will not have to wait the additional 2 minutes. The speed bump acts like the YIELD, however this feature is to control the speed of racers that are racing too fast.

This game is just for fun =)

TIMINGS AND SUCH:

Below are the time penalties for the following:
- Opting not to complete a detour/roadblock: 30 minutes penalty before checking into pitstop
- Opting not to complete a route info clue: 10 minutes penalty before checking into pitstop

Instructions to obtain clue:

If the clue requires you to find or type a word, for example the word you need to type is singapore, you should type http://www.iphoting.com/~cmbtwb/onlinerace10/singapore.jpg to get your next clue. basically, http://www.iphoting.com/~cmbtwb/onlinerace10/#.jpg and you should replace # with the word(s) required.

If the words are two words such as "Uniquely Singapore", you should type http://www.iphoting.com/~cmbtwb/onlinerace10/uniquelysingapore.jpg, basically without spaces and punctuation marks. Ensure all letters are small letters.
