How far did you push your sleep time later? I suppose if you push it all the way from 8pm to 1/2am, you shouldn’t wake up at 4am.. that’s barely enough time for one sleep-cycle. My brute force method when shifting 7-8h is to stay awake for an extra day - ie wake up and stay up until following correct bedtime - but it’s extremely stressful on the body (and mind) due to the stimulant use. No idea if that’s worth it with a 2h shift. Hi cflee, I did try pushing it back to 12 am, but I still work up at 4 am the following morning. Tried going back to sleep but it was really hard. So, I clocked in no more than 5 hrs in total that night. I think I’ll try the brute force method next week if things still don’t get better. Hopefully before I get crazy or hallucinations. Thanks. =) |
